WASHING BOTTLES

The Bottle Washer is from Hagers Town, Maryland. It weighs 12,000 lbs and was set in place by a crane before the roof was on the building. The Bottle Washer was new in 1951 and was found in an old plant in New York.

Two employees are required to operate the bottle washer. It both washes and sanitizes the bottles so that we can use them over and over. It can wash up to 1000 bottles per hour when everything works as it should. We also wash the crates and then place the bottles upside down inside them. We then stack them near the bottle filler until we are ready to use them to bottle the milk.

When you return your empty glass bottle to us for the deposit, you are doing your part to help keep our production green help keep milk on the shelves for you and others to buy.

It's good for you, it's good for us and it's good for the environment.
